Buying a used BMW 1 Series is probably the cheapest way to own a BMW as it's considered the entry level model. It has grown in popularity due to its brilliant range of fuel efficient diesel engines and excellent driving ability.
The 1 series certainly isn't the most spacious car in its class but for what it lacks in luggage pace it certainly makes up for in the way it performs. The fact that it's a rear wheel drive car gives it the control needed to tackle even the most demanding of bends.
The BMW 1 Series, especially the five-door variant, is a great choice for small families that like a sleeker and stylish alternative to other cars such as the Vauxhall Astra and even Volkwagen's Golf. If you want to stand out even more then there's the convertible version that's been around since 2008.
Although the 1 Series is an entry level BMW it still carries that all important BMW badge. What this means is that you're getting a car with an undoubted excellent reputation.
