Something different: Citroen C6

You can get some very sensible cars if you have a budget of between £6k and £10k…but who wants sensible when you can have a big quirky styled French executive car like the Citroen C6 instead!

Ok, we all know that big French executive cars don’t have the most glowing reputation in the used car market. However, for this kind of money you can have any number of bland, generic, executive cars so why not go for something a bit more timeless?



When it first appeared in 2005 the C6 bucked almost every trend in the book. No more telling than with its innovative hydropneumatic suspension which uses compressed fluid and air instead of steel springs. It also featured daring chic design rather than the bland conservatism that pervaded the class at that time. The C6 was never a sales success as only 1014 where ever registered in the UK. However it’s always had, and still does have, a cult following as a defining different saloon.



As well as the genius suspension it’s also got a smooth creamy V6 engine under the bonnet which makes for really really calm fluid progress.
