McLaren unveils the new P1
McLaren have unveiled pictures of the successor the F1 – the new P1 of which the design concept will be showcased this week at the Paris Motor Show.
The production model is scheduled for 2013 whilst the actual physical car isn’t due to hit the road until 2014.
Not many details have been unleashed, however McLaren boss, Ron Dennis, stated ˜The McLaren P1 will be the result of 50 years of racing and road car heritage. Twenty years ago we raised the supercar performance bar with the McLaren F1 and our goal with the McLaren P1 is to redefine it once again.˜
A selling price has also not been disclosed but clearly it will sit above the 12C and 12C Spider mark.
McClaren will uncover more in Paris this week – the first time they have partaken at a motor show. Time will tell whether the P1 will outdo the F1.
